Dress Code​
We have an online store to purchase your dancers' required Bliss Dance Space leotards, skirts, jazz pants and t-shirts. Upon registration you will receive instructions with a link about how to order these unique, well-made items with the Bliss logo on them. We strongly encourage our dance families to support our local business community, please consider purchasing your shoes and tights from Ama La Vita. If you shop online and order from discountdance.com, use the Teacher Code 36988.
Hair
For all classes, hair must be neatly pulled up, off the neck in braids or bun that is secured to one’s head. Short hair and bangs must be pulled off the face and neck. Headbands are allowed if they are not distracting.
Undergarments
Undergarments should never be distracting. Please wear a dance belt under bottoms or a supportive bra under your leotard if needed. ​

Warm-ups/Cover-ups
Please wear warm-ups and cover-ups to and from class, as this is proper dance etiquette.

​*Dancers taking multiple level classes can attend all classes in their assigned ballet leotard color.
**If there is a change in color and your dancer is entering a 2nd year of study at the same level, your dancer will be grandfathered into the uniform colors. You will not be asked to purchase a new leotard in this case.

Wee Move
Comfortable clothing and bare feet or ballet slippers. No street shoes are allowed in the studio.
Creative Movement
Class color leotard and pink tights or class color shirt, shorts, leggings or pants that do not drag the floor. Please avoid skirts that are not attached to your dancer’s leotard. We will dance in bare feet.
Tiny Tap
Same as Creative Movement. Ribbon tie tap shoes in black.
Introduction to Ballet
Class color leotard and pink tights. Dancers with darker skin tones are welcome to choose tights that most closely match their complexion. Ballet slippers must match the color of tights. Class color tee-shirt and pants or shorts with white socks and black slippers. Please avoid skirts.
Introduction to Tap
Same as Introduction to Ballet. Ribbon tie tap shoes in black.
Ballet
Leotard in level color*, matching skirt (levels 3 and up) and pink tights. Dancers with darker skin tones are welcome to choose tights that most closely match their complexion. Ballet slippers (canvas or leather) must match tights.

Level colored T-shirt tucked into solid black bottoms–jazz pants, tight shorts or tights, white socks and black ballet slippers—either canvas or leather.
Pointe
Same dress code as ballet. Pointe shoes must match the dancer's tights.

Modern
Leotard in level color* and black leggings, black or assigned uniform color jazz pants that don't drag on the floor or tight fitting black shorts with tights. Following tradition, modern will be studied in bare feet. Occasionally socks or nude turners will be allowed.​

Jazz/Lyrical
Leotard in level color* and black leggings, black shorts with tights, or black / assigned uniform color jazz pants that don't drag on the floor. Black pull-on jazz shoes.

Tap
Leotard in level color* and black leggings, shorts with tights, or black or assigned uniform color jazz pants that don't drag on the floor. Black lace up tap shoes or ribbon tie tap shoes.
Adult Classes​
Please wear clothing that makes you feel comfortable and will not inhibit your ability to move and enjoy class. Please wear appropriate shoes for the class you are attending. If you’re trying a new technique to see if you’d like to join, feel free to attend in bare feet or grippy socks.
